We know that walking into a new place for the first time can be intimidating. So, here are a few snapshots of what you can expect when you visit Mount Pleasant Church for the first time. If you have any specific questions, please feel free to contact us either by phone or the online form.
We reserve parking for guests at the front door. Inside, you'll find a staffed Welcome Center to help. But if you'd rather just blend in, that's OK too. At 8:15, we typically sing hymns and gospel songs, while at 11, we sing songs you'll hear on the radio. And at all times, God's Word speaks to the issues we face in everyday life.
We consider it a privilege to partner with parents in nurturing the lives of children. Parents are welcome to keep their children with them in worship. We even have a special space reserved for parents with infants who require care. Because we know that children hear God's Word differently than adults, we provide a special time for kids during the sermon at the 11a service. Children are escorted from the sanctuary during the greeting time and are picked up by parents following the worship service.
We know that getting connected with people is difficult in a crowd. So, when you're ready to take your next step, Sunday School is a great way to move forward. We have a variety of groups which help every member of your family make new friends and dig a bit deeper into God's Word. And you're welcome to swing by the MtP Cafe for a cup of coffee (or tea, if you prefer) to take along.
