The Mt. Pleasant Church has a wonderful Children’s ministry! We offer a variety of programs for children, from infancy through 5th grade. Our teachers and helpers are committed to providing a learning environment where our children are taught the love of the Lord. For more information, visit our Children's Ministry page.
Pleasant Days preschool is a program designed for 3, 4, and 5 year olds. All age levels in our classroom will be exposed to learning situations that will formally or informally develop school readiness skills.
The Mt. Pleasant Youth Ministry counts it a real privilege to minister to students in grades 6 through 12. We want to do all we can to make teenage disciples who make a difference for Jesus Christ. We truly believe that every student has the capability and the potential to do great things for the Lord. For more information, visit our Youth Ministry page, or Youth Ministry website at: www.mpym.org.
We feel that every adult should have the opportunity to participate in a Sunday School class experience. We therefore offer many adult classes designed for a variety of ages and interests. Click here for a complete list of Sunday School classes. By participating in a Sunday School class we not only learn more about God’s Word, but also build the relationships with others that are so necessary in today’s impersonal world.
Wednesday nights are full of activity at Mt. Pleasant. There is a program for every age of the family, from the toddlers, to the youth, as well as the adults. Topics for the adult classes change every three months, making it possible to join in on Family Night at any time.
We have several different small groups that meet at various times. We have an active Women's Group that meets on Tuesdays at 1:30 - 3:00 PM here at the church. If you would like to get connected with one of our small groups, or get connected with any of the ministries of the church, please contact us.
Senior Adult Ministry
Senior Connection is a ministry to and with adults sixty years of age and older. There will be a Senior Luncheon on the fourth Tuesday of each month here in the Multi-Purpose Room. There are multiple pieces to this ministry. Please check out the Senior Connection Brochure highlighting the featured speakers for the luncheons and the many aspects of this ministry. Senior Connection is planned and led by a Leadership Team of twelve adults.
We have several local outreach ministry opportunities. If you would like to know more about these opportunities, please contact Wanda Goshorn at 717-263-6526. We also support several local and global missions and missionaries in order to spread the Good News of Jesus Christ to everyone. Please visit our Missions page to find out more.
Our desire is to provide environments where everyone is able to worship God. There are many ways we worship God, other than through music. Our worship services are intended to allow people to gather and offer prayers, songs, tithes, and most importantly their hearts to the One True God! We also worship God by listening to God's Word and learning to apply the Bible to our daily lives through the preaching of our Pastor. There are several opportunities for you to serve in the worship ministries! Many of these are not even music related, but are necessary for facilitating worship.
"As iron sharpens iron, so one man sharpens another." Proverbs 27:17
