CHILDREN’S MINISTRIES

The Mt. Pleasant Church has a wonderful Children’s ministry. We offer a variety of programs for children, infant—6th grade. Our teachers and helpers are committed to providing a learning environment where our children are taught the love of the Lord.

Nurseries:
Our infant (ages 0-1) and Toddlers (ages 1-2) nurseries are available on Sunday mornings during the morning worship services and Sunday school hour. On Wednesday evening we have a combined nursery for children ages 0-2.

Sunday School:
Our Sunday school classes are designed in such a way that children enjoy learning about the Bible. We understand that every student is different and has different needs; that is why we provide a learning environment where students are able to learn and interact with the material they are taught.

Children’s Worship:
Our Children’s church hour is offered at 11:00 a.m. for children ages 2—2nd grade. The 2-3yr.-old children participate in our Wee Church program. The children ages 4—Grade 2 will be dismissed from the Worship Service and then be a part of their own worship time activities.

Wednesday Nights:
On Wednesday evenings our children also have the opportunity to participate in the Angel Choir (ages 3—K) or the Hosanna Kids Choir (grades 1—6). In addition to the choirs we offer classes for children age 2—Grade 6. They participate in a lesson that is designed to help students start a relationship with the Lord and become active servants for the Lord. In addition to these programs our children take part in many different projects and activities throughout the year. We realize the importance of giving children an opportunity to expand their worldview and to help them see the importance of doing God’s work worldwide.

YOUTH MINISTRIES

The Mt. Pleasant Youth Ministry (www.mpym.org) counts it a real privilege to minister to students in grades 7—12, and we are committed to reaching students for the Lord; teaching students about the Lord; and then unleashing students to do the work of the Lord. In order to accomplish this, we offer a variety of programs and activities designed to achieve a specific area of our purpose.

Our Wednesday Night Youth Activities are designed to reach those students who do not know Jesus as their Savior. These evenings are packed full of fun and games and a class which helps students discover important truths about Jesus Christ and what it means to have a personal relationship with Him.

Our Sunday School program on Sunday mornings integrates worshipping through song and teaching from scripture in order to help students grow stronger and more secure in their relationship with Jesus Christ. Our Small Group ministry on Sunday evenings attempts to ground students a little more firmly in Christ.

We offer a variety of Ministry Team opportunities, including a Drama Team, Praise Team, Puppet Team, and Youth Choir. These ministry teams enable students to be trained, equipped and then unleashed to do the work of the Lord. It is our desire that students become faithful servants of Jesus Christ.

We understand that every student is at a different place in their relationship with the Lord; therefore we want to do all we can to meet the needs of every student, at whatever level of spiritual interest they may be!

ADULT MINISTRIES

WORSHIPPING GOD–
At Mt. Pleasant our desire is to provide worship experiences that truly glorify the Lord Jesus. At 8:00 a.m. we celebrate God using more traditional modes of worship. At 9:30 and 11:00 a.m. the service is more contemporary in nature. Each worship service contains a message from God’s word that is relevant to living in today’s world.

MUSICAL CELEBRATION–
We believe that music is a central way to worship God. Therefore, besides the congregational singing in our services, we give opportunity to participate in music through the Adult Choir, Worship Team, and the Instruments of Praise. SUNDAY SCHOOL–
We feel that every adult should have the opportunity to participate in a Sunday School class experience. We therefore offer many adult classes designed for a variety of ages and interests. A descriptive list of all classes is available upon request. By participating in a Sunday School class we not only learn more about God’s Word, but also build the relationships with others that are so necessary in today’s impersonal world.

FAMILY NIGHT–
Wednesday night is full of activity at Mt. Pleasant. There is a program for every age of the family, from the toddlers, to the youth, as well as the adults. Topics for the adult classes change every three months, making it possible to join in on Family Night at any time.

SMALL GROUPS–
We have several different small groups that meet at various times.
